When Meghan Pellerin of MLP Therapy reached out for a branding session I was so excited. Meghan's therapy practice centers around helping young adults find their footing, gender affirming care, and supporting neurodivergent clients. Meghan wanted photos that would reflect her personality, priorities, and values.
Meghan and I got to know each other as we prepared for the session over the span of about a week. I brought my pride flags, she brought her favorite books. When I heard about her senior dog Reilly, I almost begged Meghan to bring her along. Reilly definitely stole the show.
Many people might feel like branding photos have to be stiff or impersonal - and while the kind of photos you need depends on your business - the whole point of branding is finding a way to make a human connection. As a therapist, Meghan took this opportunity to show up as wholeheartedly and authentically as she asks her clients to. I was honored to be her witness.
My goal as a photographer is for every client to feel deeply celebrated, whether we are working together on an intimate wedding, or professional branding.
After every session I tell my clients that I'm honored to work with them, and it's true. I take the responsibility of witnessing your truest and favorite selves very seriously. I want to give you photos that will remind you of who you are, how far you've come, and how deeply you matter.
